What to Have Ready Before an Investigation
A short checklist that makes any leak investigation faster and cheaper.
The more context you can give, the faster any investigation goes. Before the visit, note when the symptom appears - during rain, after hot water use, in the mornings - and whether the water meter moves with every fixture off.
Gather what already exists: previous reports, repair invoices, strata correspondence and photos of the damage. A short timeline of what was tried, and what happened afterwards, is worth more than it sounds.
On the day, clear access to the suspect areas and to the meter, and make sure someone who knows the property's history is reachable. That is usually enough for Pipe Replacement Guide to give you a straight answer about what is happening and what comes next.
